History of the fall: Two irons (71 lbs = 39,8 kg and 16 lbs = 9 kg) fell not far from Zagreb, to the sight of many people taking their Sunday evening walk. After questioning of several witnesses, the Zagreb Roman Catholic chapter took an official report of the fall and sent it (together with the meteorites) to Queen Maria Theresa and his husband, Emperor Francis I, who stayed at that time in Pozsony (now Bratislava in Slovakia) appearing at the sessions of the Hungarian Diet. The Queen ordered to deposit the meteorite in the Treasury in Vienna, later it was transferred to the Court museum (now Natural History Museum).
