History of the fall: A fireball following a SW–NE trajectory exploded with thunderous rumbling (audible from Alba Iulia, Aiud, Turda, Cluj-Napoca, Târgu Mureș, Reghin) into a meteorite shower, which fell to an elliptical area, ~10 km long and ~4 km wide, with the Isten lake in its southern focus. People working near to the lake, at the Fekete manor, heard whizzing noises and see the stones fell. The size of the specimens increased from SW to NE, the largest one (18 lbs = 10,1 kg) is kept in the Natural History Museum in Vienna.
