Kutatási terület:

My research interest focuses on phylogenetics, systematics, biogeography and conservation genetics of terrestrial and freshwater molluscs. Principally, I am interested in shallow-level evolutionary processes such as intraspecific divergences and taxonomic relationships of closely related species. In terms of geographical regions, the Carpathian Basin and the Balkans are in the focus.

Aktuális kutatások:

Taxonomy and phylogenetics of obligate rock-dwelling and subterranean gastropods.

Diversity and distribution of the Balkans' mollusc fauna.

Field trips

Since 1992, I have organized and participated in 50 field trips in Southern Europe – Albania, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia – and in Western Asia. I have participated in several field campaigns of the HNHM in Hungary in connection with the museum’s various basic and applied research projects.
