Molecular Taxonomy Laboratory
General
The Molecular Taxonomy Laboratory is an individual multi-user key department of the Hungarian Natural History Museum established in 2005. The lab serves as a research and training facility for the curatorial staff, postdoctoral associates, undergraduate and graduate students who conduct basic research in the field of molecular evolution, phylogeography, population biology and conservation biology. Our department consists of two units: one of them is specialized in researching extant taxa and the other separated unit is for retaining and studying ancient DNA from fossils.
